Raised in the heart of Logan City with his mum and older siblings, Ps Lai’s upbringing shaped his resilience, faith, and deep sense of community. He grew up within the Tongan Assemblies of God movement, where church life played a central role from a young age. In the absence of a worship band, Lai learned to play an instrument early on, developing a love for worship and ministry.

At fifteen, he experienced a defining encounter with God during a youth service, which marked a clear turning point in his faith.

Following graduating high school, Ps Lai stepped straight into ministry training at his nearest internship program, Hope Centre, pursuing deeper formation in Scripture and ministry. He graduated from the internship program in 2019.

*Lai and Harmony just welcomed their first child in December 2025. A beautiful baby girl Dove Diana Ramode.
